This case is about a business discriminating against a perspective customer based on religious beliefs. The web designer owner wanted to place a disclaimer on her marketing material stating that she would not design websites for gay marriage but instead would refer business to other designers. This desire goes against Colorado law. The case is a free speech issue in the eyes of the Supreme Court. The conversation meanders into a few other areas such as the right to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and the slow pace of social change when government doesn’t mandate it and universality of accessibility to services.
