Section 230 and responsibility of speech on the internet

Section 230 of Telecommunications Act of 1996 states that no provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider. We discuss the difference between publishers, distributors and platforms and how social media companies fit in that framework. How much responsibility do social media companies bear for the content we see.
