The Herschel Walker Effect – why we elect people who don’t share our values

This is not a new phenomenon and it will rear its ugly head again, probably soon. We try to elect people who will vote for issues we value, regardless of their personal behavior because we don’t have another option (in the current political climate of the US). The solution in ranked choice voting. We can vote for our favorite candidate without throwing away our vote.
